The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) is a consortium of six seminaries based in Atlanta, Georgia. A certificate program of theological education for ministers and lay persons of all faiths and denominations is offered. The courses are taught by seminary trained instructors who sometimes use, as part of their class materials, video taped lectures by members of the ITC faculty.

The Certificate in Theology Program serves the needs of religious practitioners who want to participate in a structured system of theological studies to enhance their knowledge and preparedness for ministry and lay leadership. Upon successful completion of the eight prescribed courses of the relevant curriculum, this non-degree program, awards a Certificate in Theology.

Since its inception in 1991, the Certificate Program that fosters accountability has reduced the barriers of theological education associated with academic requirements, costs, time demands, and geographical constraints by being offered in various cities throughout the United States, Canada, Japan and the Caribbean.

The Eight (8) Courses of Study Are:

  • The New Testament
  • African American Pastoral Care and Counseling
  • The Story of Christianity
  • An Introduction to Philosophy and Theology
  • Church Administration
  • Preaching and Missiology
  • The Basics of Christian Education Ministry
  • An Introduction to Reading the Old Testament

Classes are held Thursday evenings 6:30pm – 9:00pm in the Bethesda Building.

Tuition: $200.00 per course
For additional information contact the church office 215.276.2970.
