Mrs.
Morris, having completed bachelors, masters and doctoral studies
programs at the University of Pennsylvania; language training
at the University of Laval in Quebec Canada; extensive travel
in the U.S., Europe, and Mexico; was a foreign language teacher
with the Philadelphia Public Schools for many years. In 1980,
she, along with her husband, brought her years of training and
teaching experience to the private arena, establishing the Mount
Airy Christian Day School, a preschool through grade
6, where she served as administrator for more than 20 years.
Mrs.
Morris is multitalented. Her scope of activities includes
numerous educational, cultural and civic pursuits. Throughout
her educational career, she was the recipient of numerous academic
awards, recognition and fellowships. In addition, she had been
cited for outstanding service to her community and the city at
large by the City Council of Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania House
of Representatives, and The Ogontz Area Revitalization Project,

by the church, a Welfare to Work program for more than 270 women,
extensive after school and summer programs, and youth sports programs.
Mrs.

and is in the process, by popular demand, of making these available
through her newly established ministry, "Abounding Life Ministries."
her book on the mission and ministry of the black minister's wife
is soon to be published.
Mother
Morris, an Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ, works with
the Fine Arts and Scholarship Committees of the
National Church. She also ably performs those duties that fall
to her capable hands with the Koinonia Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania,

Even
with her busy schedule and the awesome demands on her life because
of the ministry, Mrs. Morris would have you know that she is devoted
to her principal calling as the wife of Bishop Ernest Morris,
the mother of four beautiful children, Tanya Bardliving (Mrs.
Clliford), Carla Chavers, (Mrs. Walter, deceased), Ernest Jr.
and Jennifer Rose, and the proud grandmother of four accomplished
grandchildren; Cameron, Amber, Christopher, and Stephanie.
